bitches who brunch 🥂✨

As my list of “places to brunch” steadily increases, I got to join some lovely ladies this weekend and cross one off my list!

Tiny Boxwood is the epitome of a brunch hot spot. Beautiful gardens, healthy menu options, and sparkling mojitos that I can’t get enough of! If this place isn’t on your list to try, put it there & put it at the top!

Tiny Boxwood has multiple locations now but we went to the one off W. Alabama where it all started.  3614 W Alabama Street Houston, TX 77027

How it works:

depending on what time you arrive, you might have to wait in line…So gaze at the glorious menu while you wait to order. (it took me FOREVER to decide b/c everything sounded amazing) Once you reach the end of the line, place your order & they’ll hand you a number for your meal. After ordering a hostess will guide you where to sit depending on your group size.

What to order:

(Brunch menu edition) Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try the entire menu while I was there 😩BUT I can tell you what I recommend from what I did get my hands on. I can’t honestly say that “I’ve never met a veggie burger that I didn’t like” cause errr… they can go terribly wrong. However, Tiny Boxwoods got it RIGHT! I ordered the ‘Just Beet It Burger’ which is made up of a roasted beets & black bean patty, chipotle aioli, pickled jalapenos, greens, & house pickles..SoOoOo delicious! It came with a side so I ordered french fries for the table to share and they without-a-doubt tasted EXACTLY like McDonald’s french fries. I don’t know about you, but that was a Win in my book. 🎉 Needless to say the whole table gobbled the fries right up. 10/10 recommended the Just Beet It Burger if you are a fan of veggie burgers and trying new things! Flavors and textures were on point. 👌🏽

My mom and sister ordered the ‘Egg and Avocado’ which is scrambled eggs with cheese, 9F2ACA01-B9CA-430D-AF1B-367A5C8E3EE5tomatillo salsa, avocado, fresh basil, and corn tortillas. Such an awesome combo dish! I would eat just about anything if you put that tomatillo salsa on it! A great choice for anyone who loves that Mexican flavor for brunch.

My Nieces both ordered the House Migas which contains: scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, potatoes, onions, peppers, tortilla strips, tomatillo salsa. A traditional migas plate with that awesome tomatillo sauce again 😍🤤This is a great choice if you’re looking for something filling.

Not to be dramatic but…. The WHITE WINE MOJITO IS EVERYTHING!!! 🙌🏽✨ Simply just white wine, lime, and mint but oh so crisp and refreshing. I usually order Mimosas when brunching but I couldn’t help but give this cocktail a try and I’m really glad I did.

Leave room for Dessert:

You know when you imagine the picture perfect cookie in your head? It’s gooey and 37C80EB2-D29D-4BF9-9257-59EBB630F663warm but not too squishy where its falling apart but just enough..? Yeah.. Tiny Boxwoods nailed it. Not only are they known for their brunch, but they have famous chocolate chip cookies! 🍪 We ordered a box to-go but truthfully they didn’t make it very far. In fact, their  cookies have made such a name for themselves that Tiny Boxwoods opened a store just for their desserts and cookies called Tiny’s Milk and Cookies. There, you can find a daily assortment of pastries, ice creams, and warm, fresh out of the oven cookies 🙂

As always my loves, thanks for reading! Leave a comment with your favorite Brunch spot you think I should try next!!!
